That’s the thing about depression—most people never see it.

It doesn’t always look like crying. Sometimes it looks like zoning out, ghosting friends, being “too busy” to respond. Sometimes it looks like snapping at people you love because your brain feels like it’s on fire. Sometimes it’s numbness—an eerie quiet where joy used to live.

I tried everything. Exercise, therapy, affirmations, pretending I was fine. But nothing shifted until I started looking at depression as a whole-body experience, not just a chemical imbalance in my brain.
